Putting Life into Perspective
Perspectives’ is a podcast based on open discussion that looks to focus on the root causes of poor mental health, as much as the challenges facing those suffering from it. Like any medical condition, poor mental health occurs for two reasons. First, our personal cumulative history and experiences can lead us to a level of susceptibility or vulnerability. This is the internal piece of the puzzle, which we will be discussing openly through our podcasts. Secondly, and possibly more significantly, the external environment to which we are exposed. This is in many cases the 'trigger' for poor mental health and is much harder to change, but through our blog, we will pick themes and discuss them in an open-ended observational way. It is usually impossible to crystalise everyone’s thoughts around a single opinion or solution, but what we hope to do is channel ideas in a positive direction.
